What a great spot! The hospitality was fantastic. We were greeted right away and, since we had never had Somali food before, we were graciously given samples. The lentil soup was delicious and the sambusas and their sauces were incredibly flavorful. The chai tea was the best I've ever had. Mohammad and his family have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to return. Please go try this unique restaurant and support this local family.

Our church recently catered from Fatuma Halal Cafe for our Black History Month event, and their service was outstanding. The food was authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Our guests especially enjoyed the rice, samosas, chicken stew, cabbage, and black beans — every dish was full of flavor and prepared with care. The hospitality from the owners was exceptional. They were kind, professional, and truly a joy to work with. Their prepared the dishes on short notice, and their pricing was very reasonable, which was a huge blessing for our ministry. We are grateful for their service and will definitely be using them again. Highly recommend!

I recently attended a community event at Straitway to Heaven Ministries that was catered by Fatuma Halal Cafe, and the food was incredible. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The chicken stew was rich and flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the samosas were a crowd favorite. Even the cabbage and black beans were seasoned just right. You can tell the food is made with care and pride. I would absolutely recommend Fatuma Halal Cafe to anyone looking for delicious African cuisine.

We were not sure what to expect when we invited friends to meet us here for lunch. However, we were not expecting to be wowed by the food, the adorable decor, and Hassan and his mom! The tea was amazing and I’ve been thinking about it since we left (and upset with myself for not getting some to go). I’ve never had Somali or Ethiopian food and was nervous about what we would order. No worries there Hassan brought out samples, walked us through the menu and made suggestions. We can’t wait to go back and try some more options and this time I will get tea to go!

Id give 6 starts if I could. Muhammad (sorry if im misspelling) is an incredible person who makes incredible food. I ate the goat and chicken stew for my proteins. They were absolutely incredible. He actually allowed us to have a taste test before we ate to be sure wed like it. Which we did we loved it. The store was a bit slow at the time being 11.30 a.m. on a Thursday and we got to know him a bit. What an incredible guy. We had some Chai tea which was amazing. We also tried the... sambosa? I think it was... that was also great. The entree with the rice and black beans protein also amazing. Not huge inside but this is a bottom to top story here and hes only making moves up. The service and the food were amazing. I hope to see more things on the menu in the future. 100/10 recommend to everyone. To the point I just wrote this novel.

My family and I spent a wonderful night at Fatuma Cafe. The owners were very kind and even let us try to make injera, a special type of Ethiopian sourdough fermented for 3 days. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to try authentic African cuisine
